A Night in Anawangin

Stars that shine, stars so bright
Cast against the sky so dark.
I wouldn’t see you if I was
In the city of lights,
A place full of neon signs,
Or L-E-D lights.

But here I am lying on the sand
With just a canvass between me and the ground.
At a distance, the sea kisses the beach so gently

As he caresses my hand tenderly.
